Born in 1994 in a small midwestern town, Emily took an interest in art at a very early age. Although she spent most of her young life creating various types of art, Emily had a larger-than-life passion for helping others and decided to enlist in the United States Air Force at the age of 17. After serving five years as a military police officer, Emily suffered an injury that ended her military career. Upon separating from the USAF, Emily struggled to find her place in the world. Suffering from MDD and PTSD, she knew she needed to find her way back into art, thus starting her journey into tattooing. After five years of successful tattooing, Emily transitioned into graphic design and digital art, earning a college degree with honors. Late into November of 2024, still struggling with her mental health, Emily made an attempt on her life that left her with a 1% chance of survival. After spending almost two weeks in a coma, she miraculously pulled through. Left with a brain injury, impaired vision, and the inability to walk, she began a long journey of recovery. Regaining some of her vision and learning how to walk again, she once more turned to art. Emily started her journey into painting pieces that portray the darkness encapsulated in the mind of someone suffering from mental health disorders. Her passion to help others remained the same, and her goal now is to spread awareness of the dark truths of facing our demons and pushing through to find the light. You are not alone.
